Peptides are short chains of amino acids that mostly act as signals, for example telling the body to release its own growth hormone or to repair tissue. Anabolic steroids are synthetic forms of testosterone that build muscle strongly but carry serious risks to the heart, liver, fertility and mood. SARMs are unapproved experimental drugs, often sold mislabelled, and linked to liver injury. Peptides generally have milder effects and fewer side effects, but many are still experimental. None of the three should be used without a physician, and all can be banned in tested sport.

IGF-1 LR3 and MGF are muscle-focused peptides related to insulin-like growth factor 1, the hormone that carries out much of growth hormone's effect on muscle. IGF-1 LR3 is a long-acting modified form, and MGF is a version that muscle makes after training or injury. Both show muscle growth and repair effects in cell and animal studies, but neither has been tested in human trials for muscle building. They also carry real risks, mainly low blood sugar, so they should only be used under close medical supervision and never by tested athletes.

Besides GLP-1 type medicines, three peptides are often discussed for fat loss. Tesamorelin has the strongest evidence: it is approved in the US to reduce belly (visceral) fat in a specific condition, and trials showed about a 15 to 18 percent drop in that fat. AOD-9604, a fragment of growth hormone, looked promising early but did not beat placebo in its main human trial. MOTS-c improves metabolism in animals but has little human data. For most people who need significant weight loss, GLP-1 type peptides remain the most effective option.

hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) acts like LH, the natural hormone that tells the testes to make testosterone and support sperm production. In men it is used for low testosterone caused by a pituitary or hypothalamus problem, to protect fertility and testicular size during testosterone therapy, and to help natural production restart after it has been suppressed. It does not help weight loss. It needs blood tests before and during treatment, so it should only be used under a physician.

PT-141 (bremelanotide) acts directly on desire centres in the brain and works within hours. Its injection form was approved in the US in 2019 for low sexual desire in premenopausal women. Kisspeptin works one step earlier: it signals the brain to release the hormones that drive testosterone and fertility, and small studies show it also strengthens sexual and emotional brain responses. PT-141 is taken when needed, while Kisspeptin is usually part of a hormone plan. Low desire often has a medical cause, so a physician should check hormones, medicines and mood first.

The Wolverine stack (BPC-157 + TB-500) is aimed at injury and recovery. The Glow stack adds GHK-Cu to that pair, so it covers recovery plus skin and hair. The KLOW blend adds KPV as well, for people who also want inflammation and gut support. Choose the smallest stack that matches your goal: Wolverine for joints and tendons, Glow for recovery with a skin focus, KLOW for the broadest plan. None has been tested as a combination in human trials, so a physician should confirm the choice.
